The Netherlands low-power AM broadcasting

Marcel Rommerts reports on the Medium Wave site that The Netherlands may open up the AM band to low power stations 

After switching off a number of high power transmitters in 2015, at the end of December the Dutch government has launched a public consultation on ‘opening up’ the medium waveband for radio and non-radio applications with 'low power' and with limited government regulation. 

When referring to 'low power' this means both a power in the range of 1 – 5 watts (site coverage) and 50 – 100 watts (municipal coverage). 
The idea is that the same frequencies will be re-used across the country. They will be handed out on the basis of a first-come, first served basis. Deadline for comments is 14 February 2016.

Things NOT TO DO working on a linamp!

In this video at 01:50 you can watch an example of dangerous practise working your linear amplifier.
You should NEVER-NEVER-NEVER operate a rig or a Linear Amplifier with the lid off at the presence of High Voltage. Let alone working on it, with both hands. Use your hands only  to tune via properly insulated knobs. For minor adjustments or measurements, use only one hand keeping the other in your pocket. 
Should you need to use both of the hands for any other matter, SWITCH OFF, wait for the bleed resistors  to drain the voltage stored into the elec caps and only then do the necessary work and adjustments. It doesn't matter if you are a radio-amateur or a radio-pirate, experienced or not. High Voltage is extremely dangerous and death lurks.

Κλείνουμε το μηχάνημα, αφήνουμε τους ηλεκτρολυτικούς να ξεφορτίσουν και μετά με επιφύλαξη κάνουμε δουλειά μας.
Πολλά παιδιά έχουν πάει στράφι κι άδικα από μιά απροσεξία της στιγμής.
